Development Project
Città Fiera, the largest center in Italy
A new face that has not forgotten its old one, that’s Città Fiera’s secret, a commercial complex unparalleled in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, and soon also in Italy and Europe. The center is preparing to increase its surface area and uses. Città Fiera is not only a center, it’s a “city”, with spaces and services designed to meet the needs of the area. A meeting place that has been able to differentiate itself based on strong ties with its homeland along with its orientation towards the European market.
The development project is quite ambitious, but unlike other center, Città Fiera already boasts over 7 million visitors a year and an area of over 80,000 square meters. The project will be implemented in stages, thereby enabling proposals to adapt to real market needs. With this development project, the center will become the largest in Italy.
At present no other centers exist with development plans above Città Fiera’s plan of reaching 160,000 square meters. In light of the data collected up until now, Città Fiera will also become the 4th or 5th largest shopping center in Europe.
The development plan will increase the size of Città Fiera from 80,000 square meters of retail space to 160 thousand. The total retail space will increase from 42,000 square meters to 94,000 square meters. Services will increase to meet future needs: parking from 3900 to 10.000 spaces, for a number of visitors that will increase and reach 11 million per year. Anchors will increase from 10 to 20, restaurants, cafè’s and bars from 19 to 25, and stores from 190 to 350. A quantum leap that will put the territory of Udine in the avant-garde nationally.
Città Fiera offers the vast array of stores, considering it is the only center in Italy to host Oviesse, Coin, H&M, and the Zara Group all under one roof; this is already a clear indication of the excellent service given to the customer.
The expansion will focus mainly on sectors relating to home furnishing in an area of 30,000 to 40,000 square meters. Similar offers of this size don’t exist in Italy. Range and depth of products will be unimaginable, this will be a distinctive element that can significantly expand our range of attraction. Another area will be dedicated to the world of engines and another to leisure and entertainment.

Cushman & Wakefield back the project
The development project, marketing by Cushman & Wakefield leader in commercial real estate consulting at a global level together with the Bardelli Group, is a far-sighted one, designed to create a pole of attraction that will expand greatly its pool of users. It’s a pioneer vision, innovative and conservative at the same time compared to the existing commercial patrimony: the project represents the overcoming of the traditional commercial center thanks to the creation of thematic universes which will offer home furnishing, fashion&home outlet, engines and leisure.
